Those who follow my blog will have noticed that I haven’t posted anything for over a week now.   Marion and I have been on vacation for the past 10 days or so, including a wonderful visit from our son Simeon, his wife Heather and their beautiful daughter Sophie Grace – our first grandchild.   We managed to get all our children together for a visit at the family cottage for a couple of days last week (see photos here).  Altthough the weather was cool, a good time was had by all.  Sophie, of course, was the star of the show – amazing how babies have a way of capturing everyone’s attention!

I have also been doing some reflecting on various issues and life experiences the past couple of days and I expect to be blogging some of those reflections again soon.
